Once you pass the test, that's the last you'll need those skills, right? So, all you really need to know is a few quick cheats to get it over and done, with the highest score you can. You just need to be familiar with the test, that's all. Know how to skim and pick out key words, that kind of stuff. It's not like you'll need any of the math they have on the test again, right? Or how to actually read for meaning in a pressured setting. Or to organize thoughts enough to write effectively. All you really need is to practice the test, right?
If your end goal is to just get to college, sure. Go practice. There are tons of free (and not-so-free) sources to get you there.
But if your goal is to ensure you have the skills you need to excel in college and to qualify for the scholarships you deserve, you need Fancher Education Center's ACT Prep course.

The stuff you really want to know.
How much does it cost?
$40 per hour.
Any discounts?
As a 501(c)3 nonprofit, we are dedicated to keeping supplemental quality education affordable. Private tutors often cost $50-$75 per hour (and up to $150 in larger cities!). We've made it easy for you and baked the discount right in to our price already.
I'm willing to make the investment in my student's education, but what if I can't pay it all at once?
Sessions are payable the day of, so no large prepayment is necessary. Company-wide cancellation/missed session fees do apply.
How long does it last?
As long as you'd like. We recommend scheduling session at least 8 weeks prior to your test date. Once per week is adequate, as long as you are practicing at home. Twice per week is preferred.
Other places prep several hours on a Saturday morning for 3 weeks. Why not you?
We aren't cramming. We aren't teaching to the test. We are teaching genuine knowledge and skills. For that, you need to be given small chunks of knowledge to process and practice over a dedicated period of time. We facilitate commitment and genuine learning, not cheat codes.
What do I bring?
You, your study guide, your pencil, and your calculator.
Sounds so easy! What's the catch?
No catch. We just want you to be fully prepared for your big day.
What happens if I am late?
We work for the rest of the time you have booked, whether it is 50 minutes or 15.
What about fees? Are they prorated or refundable?
No. Once you have committed to these sessions, your spot is reserved for you and no one else. Part of this test is proving that you can be somewhere prepared and on time. Since we help you with the former, the latter is entirely up to you. In the case of genuine emergency or change of test date, registration will be allowed to transfer to another session.
What makes you different?
A couple of things:
1. We've actually taken the ACT in the 2016-2017 school year, so we know exactly which tips will help you the most. No, we won't tell you the questions that are on the test or let slip essay topics, but we do know whether you should memorize the periodic table or freshen up on your unit circle.
2. We don't give you any ol' generic test-taking tips you can Google. We help you practice actual strategies that make you an all-around better student. Whether it is learning how to efficiently outline so you can ace the writing portion, read critically and quickly to make it through language and grammar, interpret complicated charts that have been holding you back on science, or reviewing those math concepts you forgot you knew, each session includes a healthy dose of tutoring so that you aren't just learning skills you need for the test, you are learning skills you need for life.
3. We are not a 3 week cram session. The ACT can be expensive. It takes time to take; it takes time to properly prepare for. Programs that fit you in on a Saturday morning may be enough for those that don't want to Google, but for those of you who want to see a real difference in content knowledge and capability need smaller sessions over longer time and comparable cost.
DISCLAIMER:
We do not guarantee test scores. That is entirely dependent upon you and your efforts. We provide knowledge, resources, practice, tools, and feedback, but we cannot take the test for you. If you miss sessions, you miss valuable learning time. If you have a learning disorder that needs to be accommodated, you need to schedule more sessions than the recommended. If you have specific goals to achieve, you need to be willing to put in the time at session and at home to practice the skills identified as problem areas.
