Literacy and LunchIs your little one gearing up for kindergarten? Does your second grader need a boost before heading into third? 5th grader needs to understand active reading and note-taking? Just want to give your kid an opportunity to succeed that they haven't had before? Apply to be a part of the Fancher Ed Literacy and Lunch program today!
This fully partner and donation funded (i.e. free to you!) program is a two-week training ground for phonics and comprehension that can help foster a love of reading and learning, no matter the age or grade. Developed by professional educators, this program isn't a "cut and color" experience, but one that promotes genuine skill-development and learning that can help set your student up for success in the 2018/19 school year. Lunch sponsored by Downtown Grill will be provided each day for students and pick-up/drop-off service is available for those students who need it. Space is capped at 30 students and need-based students are a priority. Special Interest CampsCoding CampA two day a week class that meets on Tuesday and Thursday for two hours. Created for students ages 9 - 16 years old. Students will focus on working with a local software engineer on learning the basics of coding with hands on experience.
Time: July 10-25 (Tuesday and Thursday 1-3pm) Week 1: July 10,12 Week 2: July 17,19 Week 3: July 23, 25 Cost: $40 per week, per student *Must bring your own laptop, limited computers available upon request for extra fee |
