We reserve the right to terminate service at any time and without notice if we believe that our services are no longer beneficial or adequate for the advancement of the Student’s skill set. We are not responsible for any failure to advance that results from the Student’s unwillingness to attempt to perform the assigned homework or activities.
EXPECTATIONS
Fancher Education Center is hired on behalf of the Student. If the Student is of a legal age to enter into a binding contractual agreement, the Client and the Student may be the same person. 3. Students can receive tutoring in multiple subject areas by scheduling appointments for up to one hour per Session.
4. All Sessions must be scheduled two business days in advance. In the event that a Session is desired on shorter notice, We reserve the right to charge a scheduling fee or request a change of Session location from any that may have been agreed upon at a previous time.
5. Cancellations should be made as far in advance as possible, no less than one business day before the requested session.A cancellation fee of $20 applies.
6. A Student is considered a No Call/No Show after 15 minutes from the start of their scheduled appointment time if they have NOT notified the Tutor of their absence in advance. Should the student become present within the scheduled window, services may be rendered until the end of the time scheduled. The Fee shall not be prorated, forgiven, or refunded. If not paid prior to session, it is due upon completion of the time scheduled for the Session.
7. In the event that a Client cancels two or more scheduled Sessions, they will forfeit all appointment times and must meet with a Tutor to to discuss reinstatement.
Continued appointment cancellations, whether in advance or last minute, are strongly discouraged. We maintain that there is no reasonable expectation of privacy beyond that which is readily apparent. We reserve the right to photograph students as they attend classes, events, and routine programs for use in promotional or marketing materials without providing notice or obtaining written consent forms from parents. In the event that a parent or guardian does not wish their student to be included, the request should be presented via written/typed communication. Inclement Weather
Schools make decisions based on hundreds of students all across the county, but I make them on an individual basis. This means that, generally, even if schools close early for any reason (holidays, future weather threat, extraordinary event, etc), unless Fancher Education has reached out to you first, students are still expected to show up for tutoring sessions at the scheduled time or face a cancellation fee.
However, in the event of extreme cold, wind, snow, rain, etc, the 24 hour cancellation fee is waived as long as the client sends a courtesy cancellation text or call. No contact = no waived fee. This is to ensure that no one is surprised by a session that is/is not expected to happen and that tutors are able to provide for their own inclement weather needs in a timely manner. Student and instructor safety is always a priority!

Definition of service animal:

Service animals that have been trained for a specific task directly related to a person’s disability are always welcome at Fancher Education Center. However, we do not recognize the use of “emotional support” or “psychiatric support” animals in our facility.
Entering the facility:
Upon entering the facility with the animal, in compliance with ADA regulations, employees are required to ask
- Is the dog a service animal required because of a disability?
- What work or task has the dog been trained to perform?
Behavior while at the facility:
- The ADA requires that service animals be under the control of the handler at all times.
- The service animal must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered while in public places unless these devices interfere with the service animal’s work or the person’s disability prevents use of these devices. In that case, the person must use voice, signal, or other effective means to maintain control of the animal. For example, a person who uses a wheelchair may use a long, retractable leash to allow her service animal to pick up or retrieve items. She may not allow the dog to wander away from her and must maintain control of the dog, even if it is retrieving an item at a distance from her. Or, a returning veteran who has PTSD and has great difficulty entering unfamiliar spaces may have a dog that is trained to enter a space, check to see that no threats are there, and come back and signal that it is safe to enter. The dog must be off leash to do its job, but may be leashed at other times.
- Under control also means that a service animal should not be allowed to bark repeatedly in a lecture hall, theater, library, or other quiet place. However, if a dog barks just once, or barks because someone has provoked it, this would not mean that the dog is out of control.
- Service animals are not allowed to be placed on seating or tables.
- If a particular service animal is out of control and the handler does not take effective action to control it, or if it is not housebroken, that animal will be excluded.
- The animal is off-leash or away from its handler when not required to be so to perform its trained duties. Animals may not be crated or housed.
