So what does the transfer of a single proton from an acid to a base have to do with art? When baking soda (base) and vinegar (acid) combine, the base takes a proton from the acid, which turns in to water and carbon dioxide. We can use this reaction (plus a few other ingredients) to create our very own homemade water colors! This is just one of our great lessons designed to help your child explore the world around them outside of the narrow confines of a single subject. Don't just "do" art, be smART.
